- Provide some biographical information about Columbus (dates, motives, locations, etc. (Use your graphic organizer)
- Include a sentence or two describing facts and opinions Columbus held about the Native people. (see page 13 in your notebook)
- Include your opinion about Columbus by explaining if you think he should be considered a hero or villain or somewhere in between? (Use your T chart and make sure you give evidence to support why you think the way you do)
- Wrap up your essay by discussing who likely came came to America before Columbus.
- Close your essay by Restating your opening sentence. Add any final thoughts, and you're done!
