| Today's lesson looks at the famous "Midnight Ride of Paul Revere". Liberty's Kids return to Boston only to find the city occupied by the British. The patriots had organized ordinary farmers and tradesmen into a trained civilian militia that could be ready to fight in a minute's notice. For weeks the colonists (now known as Minutemen) had been hiding arms and ammunition in the neighboring town of Concord. The British planned to secretly march out to the town of Concord to confiscate the supplies of munitions, but with the help of Paul Revere, the colonists were warned of the army's approach. |
